SINCE THE AGE OF three and a half, Dr. Kaiyra Salcido knew she wanted to be a dentist. Raised in Silver City, one of Kaiyra’s earliest memories is meeting her dentist for the first time. “I remember thinking, ‘this man is here to help,’” she says, “and ever since, I’ve wanted to be a dentist.’” She realized that dream after she graduated from dental school. Artistic Smiles is her first independent practice, and it will specialize in the overall health of the mouth, not just the teeth. In partnership with the Airway Institute and using brand-new patented appliances developed by VIVOS, Dr. Salcido takes an integrative approach to tackling problems like sleep apnea, difficulty breathing, fatigue, migraines, diabetes, and more.
