As biologically-minded dentists, Dr. Brar strives to achieve all the goals of modern dentistry while treading as lightly as possible on our patients’ biological terrain. So while Dr. Brar works to maximize strength, durability, comfort and esthetics, she seeks to minimize toxicity, immune reactivity, and galvanic stress. Dr. Brar uses several dental material tests to ensure that the dental materials selected for her patients are bio-comptatible with their unique biochemistry, avoiding unnecessary negative reactions. The purpose of biocompatibility testing prior to dental treatment is to select those materials that pose the least amount of stress on the immune system and will form optimal integration with the body for the lifetime.
