Having practiced dentistry for over thirty years, Dr. McDermott believes that oral health cannot be separated from general health. Thanks to modern medicine, the American population is living longer. This increased longevity, however, has created challenges for oral health. For example, many medications that allow a person to live a long and happy live often decrease salivary flow, which in turn, negatively affects the person’s teeth. Dr. McDermott’s goal is to keep his patients’ natural teeth as healthy, beautiful, and long-living as they are.
